'WE WISH FAMILY, FRIENDS, OWNERS, VISITORS AND OF COURSE ALL ANIMALS, A BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS AND A FANTASTIC NEW YEAR!'
'All, please take good care of your fingers and your animals during the celebration of the new year!
Sylvia, Thea, Jan en Sacha'

Of course winter brings out the best out of Belgian Shepherds. The dogs love to play, run and rol through the snow. Also Mats and Pelle enjoyed the snow very much. You would think that after playing for one hour and a half they would be tired. But now they kept on playing with their friend a Groenendael.
Johan and Annemie Hallaert sent us pics from Furac (brother of Quincey and Lakota). It might sound boring, but also this family is very happy and satisfied with their young male.

Below new pic from our Lakota in the Snow!

We had a quick visit at the De Wilde family. Quincey (sister of our Lakota) is doing great. We compliment the family with the guidance of Quincey which is a very open and enthusiastic dog. Below pics from Quincey and Lakota.

At the farm of Sylvia and Jan, the dogs are suffering from Sylvia's ideas instead of enjoying the couch, Sylvia expects her dogs to run the sledge. So far it did not work out yet, but she will keep us posted!

From the Tilmans Family we received a message from Fido and Makoy. Although the family is enjoying their pension, they still run out of time. There were so troubles with the dogs but now they are doing good again. We hope for Nick and Mimi that the coming period will be much more smoothly. Below a photo from Fido and Makoy.
* Phaiza is fully recovered. The vet tested her and it seems she had had an inflammation, but they could not determine where in the body it went wrong. The family and we can exhale again!
From the Blaauwwiekel family we received bad news about their dog Kay Du Fauve Beaute. Because Kay developed stomach cancer the family had to put Kay to sleep at the age of only eight years old. The family loved Kay for his loyal and lovely character. Unfortunately we are not able to foresee the family with a new puppy. We hope they find a fantastic and nice puppy at another breeder. Below pics from Kay.

* Ard and Petra sent us an update about Phaiza. So far Phaiza was doing fantastic, being a nice and friendly dog. Unfortunately, we had a telephone call from Petra this week, with less good news. Phaiza has been very ill and is still recovering from high fever. The vets need to find out what kind of disease affected Phaiza, but most important right now is that she is doing better. Our thougts are with the family.
Luna in France is also doing great. Her owners Steef and Stefanie told us that this pup has already reached the weight of 9,5 kilos. We wonder what they feed their dogs?? J But Luna is growing well and is best friends with Xena, the German Shepherd. Below some pics from Luna and Xena.

Also the Van Pelt family sent us a mail. They adore Zeno and he is doing good. We gave the family some advises how to handle this strong male, because he is already showing some dominance and it takes strong leaders to guide this dog in becoming a nice pet. So far these guidelines work very good for Zeno, although it is hard for the family to live a bit more strictly with rules and not to shower their puppy in affection. Keep up the good work! Below photo's from Zeno.
We received good news from the De Wilde family. Their Quincey is doing great. So far Quincey is a very obedient dog and very social to other dogs and humans. Below som new pics!

Pups from Hakuna are doing great. The feedback is very positive. In the meantime we have had three of our ladies spayed and our Chaya is X-rayed for her hips and elbows. We now wait for the results! Below pics from Lakota and Luna. Sisters and daughters from Hakuna (x Grimmendans Fourlan)

* 3 October the Dutch Association of Belgian Shepherds organised a happening for the puppies and young dogs till the age of 18 months. Hannie Hendriksen organised all the owners of our P-litter and we met at the happening. It was fun to see the dogs at the age of 8 months. They all grew well and their behaviour towards human and dogs was very good. We enjoyed the owners, who are all very fond of their dogs. Overall is was a very nice day and we are very satisfied with the outcome of this litter so far.

* We spoke with Lieke Peeters, who has three Tervueren Shepherds. Her youngest Tervueren (Duvessa) was bred by the kennel 'van 't Groenveld', the elder (Nitro) was bred in the kennel 'van Moned'. The eldest Tervueren (Gino) is one of our puppies from 'Grimmendans Baroe X Ebony Mataki du Fauve Beaute'. Unfortunately Lieke told us that Gino suffers from 'Lumbosacrale instability'. It seems this is a disease that mostly affect the larger breeds (common with the German Shepherds) It is very new to us and we hope to find some more background about it. We wish Lieke and Remco the very best and hope things work out fine with Gino. Below you'll find some recent pics.
