Kennel 'du Fauve Beaute' Tervuerense herder en Hollandse herder

After a long time, we received some news about Kyra (Mystic Beauty du Fauve Beaute). Kyra was sold by her first owner to the Volman family at the age of 6 months. Trudy Volman contacted us, being the new owner at that time. A few weeks ago I contacted Ms. Volman about Kyra ans she told us she is doing good. I added some photo's from Kyra - We also received good news from the owners of our latest litter. The pups are doing great. They all attend school and are nice familymembers. For us, of course, that is good news!

* On the 9th of January we also received a new update about Chaya. According to their owners they are very satisfied and happy with their new dog. They start the obedience course for puppies and had many compliments. It seems that Chaya is behaving somemuch better in her new home than she did with us. mmm, This might say something about us! I added two pics of Darkini and Hakuna. Right now all our dogs have lost much hair and they all look like one-year old dogs. (Hakuna and Darkini our both 6 years) On the pics, you see much ear and less hair!

* We received an e-mail from Ralf Rogowski with some pics of Fygo van 't Sparrebos. This male was born out of the combination: Enzi des Ardent Fauves X Belle van 't Sparrebos. This litter was bred in cooperation with the kennel 'van 't Sparrebos. Very interesting is the backgrond of Enzi des Ardent Fauves (Owner Mr.and Mrs. De Goedt-de Prez in Belgium), where we backtrack Malinois. Enzi is a very open, stable and behaves in a very friendly way. In total a very nice dog. At the moment Ralf is training Fygo being a K9 (security dog). 3 January: Chaya has finally left for her new home. According to her new owners, she is doing outstanding. We had Chaya a little bit longer with us. We and the owners agreed to have Chaya with us untill after New Year. In the meantime we socialized Chaya with all sorts of situations and places. Chaya is little bit shy to strangers, but she also has a firm caracter. It is very important that she is guided and educated well. The last weeks she made a lot of progress and we trust Lara and Bernard to continue raising Chaya well. We already received latest information which tells us that the Tauritz-Bakker family is very happy with their new family member. We and Falanga miss her, but also know she found a nice and good home. We wish Lara, Bernard, Matthis and Roald lots of fun and joy for the coming years.

* In the meantime we spent two nice Christmas Days. We walked the dogs extra long and enjoyed the colder but also nice dry weather. While transferring data from one pc to another pc, we found some pictures in the mail from Ivar. Ivar du Fauve Beaute is the Dutch Shepherd of the Bouius family and is about 8 years old now. I added the pics on the board. Also you will find a few recent pics of our own doggies and Chaya. Chaya started her last week with us. The second of January she will leave for her new home. Fortunately, we know that she will grow up in a loving and caring family, what will make saying goodbye much more easy.... Enjoy New Year but please be also very careful.

* Merry Christmas to all of you and of course a fantastic start of the year 2009! Thea, Sacha and all the animals!

* Within a few days it is already Christmas. New Year will come within a fortnight. The pups are doing great. Except for the bench, ( they all do not like to be locked up) they behave very well. In general thet behave in a friendly and very self-assured way to humans and animals. They are open to their enviroment. Chaya, who stays till after New Year is also doing good. Still a bit shy to strangers, but the rest of the world is hers! Chaya is very intelligent and learns fast. She likes to fetch and has humor. Sometimes she forgets, she is the lowest in the pack but then of course we do remind her! Tresor from Hans & Yvonne is also very open and friedly to his enviroment. Cayou from Louisa Wegerif is a very nice and lovely dog and Aske from Sylvia and Jan attended the first lesson in puppyclass already. We are satisfied with the outcome of this litter so far! 15/12/2008 Pups are doing well with their new owners. The first messages are positive. One pup will stay with us till after New Year. We are working hard to socialize this one. Shoppingmalls, schoolyards, train, buses and of course also the woods. Chaya is a little bit more shy than her brothers and sister. But in the end, with help, this will work out fine. Sometimes we owners need to have more patients with dogs in general. They are still so young and we want them to do so much! *The first three pups have left for their new homes. We will keep you informed about their progress!

*Today the pups started their eight week. They received their first shots and last Sunday we had them outside in this big human world! They met cars and other people and had a lot of fun, chasing eachother on the cold green grass. Luckily, we were with four of us, otherwise my nerves would have killed me. This because during their play, the pups often wandered off near the road. All the pups have found new owners who will pick them up within two weeks from now. Untill that time we will enjoy these small dogs!

* Nineke Unkel sent us a picture of our own dogs. We met her and a friend before, during a walk with the dogs. Nineke has a Tervueren of her own. Unfortunately, we have no picture of her dog yet!

* 23/11 Time flies! Pups are doing very well. If they keep on developing the way they do now, they will be brave and strong working dogs. Granddaughter and niece just grabbed a pup and posed for a photo. That, while we have to make so much effort to maken a picture of a puppy. They never sit still and as you know our photoskills are really bad. Maybe we should leave the possing to Bo. Tomorrow the pups will start their seventh week

* Below an overview from birth till 6 weeks. We are still looking for good and nice owners for 1 male and 1 female.Tomorrow the pups will reach the age of 6 weeks. After their 7th week, we will take them out in public. Greetings, Thea en Sacha

* The Hofstede family sent us pictures of their 13 year old dog "Dusty du Fauve Beaute. Because of his age Dusty walks with difficult, but is still very friendly and happy. The families wishes is that Dusty will stay with them for a long time and we sincerly hope that for them too. But we also like to thank the family (as we would like to thank many - du Fauve Beaute -owners) for taking care of Dusty so well. Dusty came into the family being a puppy and is still there. Not all dogs are that lucky to find such a good home, where they can live happily for the rest of their lives! Also added two pics of other oldies!

* As you can see my photography is not my best skill, but happily for us, many others can shoot nice pictures. Here a picture from Louisa's dogs. Nice isn't it? From left to right Handsome Indy du Fauve Beaute, Fergio Djarro du Fauve Beaute; Cinderella du Fauve Beaute from Louisa Wegerif.

* Tomorrow the puppies will reach the age of four weeks. They are doing great. For one bitch were are still looking for a good owner, the others found good future homes!

* Hi Louisa, Nice that you decided to have a new pup. To us a dog less to worry about. By the way , we do have this suprise for you. Ask Thea what it is about. Sacha

This dog does not know whether it is a dog or a deer. Look how it folded its frontpaws!
* Today the pups are three weeks old. I made a video but of course I am not able to add it to the site. So you have to stick to pictures. The puppies moved to the kennel(in the house), so there is more room and a new world for them to explore. Last Sunday they had their first disco! We were also finishing the kennel so they heard a lot of noice already! Sacha en Thea

* Update about the puppies. Today they reached the age of 14 days. The eyes have opened and their vocal abiliies are also tested! We do not weigh them anymore because they climb out of the machine. We are having a nice tim with these 2 boys and 2 girls! Sacha en Thea

* On 23 october we received very sad news from Yvonne and Hans Burggraaf. Their Tervueren 'Duvall du Fauve Beaute' deceased in the nigth of 22 october. Duvall was a very hard working, social and nice dog. Hans and Yvonne; this must be a huge loss. We are very sorry and wish you strength in the coming weeks. Duvall, thank you for many years of loyalty to Yvonne and Hans and for being an example for many Tervueren.

* The puppies grow well. All of them weigh more than 2 pounds. Monday coming they will reach the age of two weeks. They do have these long tails en nice red (fauve) color. Ears have opened and the eyes are starting to open up too. First steps are already taken by all four. Yep, they are real loveable! I just added these small pictures because photos taken by camara still need to be developed. Sorry!

Finally, there were 4 pups born on the 13 october 2008! We were waiting a few days for the puppies to be born, but mom decided to wait a little bit longer. Falanga is a very proud mom and taking good care of het children. We look forward to the next coming 8 weeks! Lots of hugging and fun as the pups will grow older! Of course will keep you informed!

* Also found some old pictures of offspring. There are a lot of pictures we need to sort out. So in near future we will add many of these. One picture is Aragon (Beauquatre Aragon du Fauve Beaute), Aragon recently died at the age of thirtheen. The other picture is Voske. Vos is the Dutch translation of Fox. Looking at her small nose, we think she has been given the correct name

* Falanga is doing very well. She has this very round belly! She has still two and a half weeks left before giving birth but she is doing just fine!
* 2008! Dear all, We have been out of the picture for some time. This due to a moving and a small conflict with new neighbours. We scared our islamtic new neighbours with our 15 dogs, so it took some time to settle! In the meantime we also lost 9 dogs due to sickness or oldage. It has been a hard time for us and our kennel. At the moment we do have three Belgian Shepherds and one Dutch. Luckily we expect a litter in October from Birka van 't Sparrebos X Grimmendans Fourlan and we will keep one of the pups for ourselves!
