Kennel 'du Fauve Beaute' Tervuerense herder en Hollandse herder
Du Fauve Beauté, Tervuerense en Hollandse Herders
Update: 21-12-2009
We wish you all a Merry Christmas! Of course be aware for your pets and fingers during celebration of the New Year. A nice clothing of the year 2009 for all of you and just a so much better, more beautiful and happy 2010!

Riny and Ingrid van Brienen sent us pics from Nikita (Grimmendans Amon x Belle van 't Sparrebos). Altough Nikita is very naughty at the moment (she has been eating pillows, etc.), Riny and Ingrid still adore her. Of course Riny en Ingrid need to start over again with benchtraning. I added the pics!

The snow and the cold is just the best weather for the Belgian and Dutch Sheperds. The dogs love to run and play in the snow. We love to watch the dogs acting like fools and enjoying the snow.

21/12: Trainingseason has ended. Our youngest, Wolfie (Grimmendans Amon x Belle van 't Sparrebos received her Puppy certificate. She will start obedience in January 2010. Our Chaya did very well and passed her A examen with full points each exercise. She will start obedience (B) and agility in January. Darkini and Hakuna will keep on training agility. Our Sardai is dismissed because of her 10 year old age. Our Falanga, as expected, will become a little bit heavier :- ), so she is also excused from any training.
Added you will find recent pics from Grimmendans Chudo. Chudo is direct offspring from Grimm van de Hoge Laer (X Grimmendans Zoe) Chudo is a charming and nice dog, which loves to hang in your lap. He certainly stolen our haerts. We are very inquisitive what the combination Chudo X Falanga (Birka van 't Sparrebos) will bring.

* Falanga (Birka van 't Sparrebos) is in heat. We had her mated with Grimmendans Chudo. End of January 2010, we expect to have puppies from this combination!
Unexpectedly, our Anubis deceased recently at the age of eleven years. Anubis was the daughter of Ackay (Bohemian Ackay du Fauve Beaute) and the grand daughter of Freya (Belvedere du Bois des Elegances). Anubus inherited the same strong and fine caracter of her eldery and was a very stable and nice dog. We will miss her. Thea and Sacha

* Our Falanga is in heat. We planned to have a second and also last litter with her. We expect to have Falanga mated at the end of november 2009 with 'Grimmendans Amon' from the Timmermans Family.

* Finally, We found the time to update the site. The pups from Hakuna (Belle van 't Sparrebos x Grimmendans Amon) are doing well. The owners tell us, they are fast learners and do have a huge eager to please. All are growing wel and become 'real' dogs now.
Added you'll find pics of the pups.

All the pups from Hakuna left our home almost two weeks ago. The little ones are doing well, living with their new owners. One of the puppies has stayed with us, a little female we named Izzy. Sometimes Izzy is still a bit shy, but she becomes braver every day. We and the owners enjoy our new dogs very much!
I added pics of Makoy, one of the male pups that went to the Tillmans family. The first day, Makoy arrived at his new home, he fell into a ditch. After this 'shocking experience' Makoy fell asleep.
For now we still have many photo's left, which have to be sorted out and prepared to be sent to the owners and to be added at this site. I promise to upload these as soon as possible.

We also added photo's from Fido van 't Sparrebos. Fido is a son from the first litter of Hakuna. His owners, Nick and Mimi Tilmans will have another pup; this time a son from the second litter of Hakuna. Fydo has become a very gently, outgoing and obedient dog. Nick and Mimi did a great job in raising Fydo.

As always Louisa visited us to see the new pups, but also to show her latest Tervueren Shepherd 'Cayou' (Ne Me Quitte Pas du Fauve Beaute)Cayou is a son from Grimmendans Fourlan x Birka van 't Sparrebos and is 10 months old now. It is a huge dog and it seems that it will become a beautiful male. But most important; Louisa, Cayou and the Shelties get along very well.

Mariska and Walter sent us a mail. A couple of years ago, these people waited for a puppy from a litter, but unlucky enough, there were not enough pups in the litter. Nowadays they have two Tervueren Shepherd and are very happy with them. I added the pics of their dogs!

The puppies from Hakuna are growing fast and start to become real dogs. They are all doing very well. Within 3 weeks they will start their new lives with their new owners. Below you'll find a few pics of the puppies.

* During a period of 3 weeks, I (Sacha) took care of Tervueren Shepherd 'Zia'. In this period I made some photo's and my conclusion is that it is rare dog. If it was my dog... :- )

18 July 2009: We experienced some troubles due to illness of Hakuna. But the vet did his work well and after a period of feeding the pups by ourselves, the pups and Hakuna are doing well again. The eyes of the pups are open and the first steps have been made! Each pup has found a new owner, so we can sit back and enjoy the litter. See the pics of the pups.

Jan and Sylvia sent us new pictures of their dogs. Maroc (Mon Faveur du Fauve Beauté) and Aske (Notre Belle Amie du Fauve Beauté) from the former litter (Grimmendans Fourlan x Birka van 't Sparrebos). Jan en Sylvia will be one of the new owners of the current litter. They just have to wait another 6 weeks!

Monique Picone contacted us with a question about the Addison disease. She also sent us photos from her dogs. The elder is 'Falco' (Ness van de Hoge Laer x Bijlon fan Jo Bo's Hiem), who deceased at the age of thirteen years old. The younger grey dog is Milo, his parents are both Groenendaelers.

2 July 2009: We are very pleased to tell that Hakuna has given birth to 3 boys and 5 girls! Hakuna and her puppies are doing well. Now Hakuna can strengthen a bit and of course she is spoiled a little by us.
The coming 8 weeks we enjoy the puppies, after that it is up to the owners to enjoy them even more. Two girls have not found a new owner/family yet. Should you be interested, you can contact us by telephone or mail. We will keep you informed! Thea and Sacha

* Last week, the owners of Fido van 't Sparrebos contacted us. Fido is offspring from the F2-litter. This litter was born in Belgium within the kennel 'van 't Sparrebos'. (At that time, we decided to have Hakuna mated with Enzie and have had the litter born with Frans and Marie Verwimp-van Loy) This because of our not so friendly neighbours. Happily, things have been properly worked out these days! Fido has proved himself as being a friendly but also a very obedient dog! He has graduated in obedience in the highest level (GG3).
Nick and Mimi Tilmans sent us also a photo of their first Tervueren Sheperd 'Carlos la Roche'. What a difference with the Tervueren nowadays. Beautiful dog!

* Our Hakuna is doing well. She is clearly expecting! Because of the many requests we keep our fingers crossed and hope for a little bit larger litter
* Loes Bijlhout (owner of Tervueren Shepherd Kennel 'of Axewood Home') sent us an old picture of one of the first Flyball teams in the Netherlands. It was made shortly after Otto Steijn introduced Flyball in the Netherlands. On the rigth there is Thea with Youandi (Gioia van 't Wedertsheim)
Hans & Yvonne, Congratulations! Last sunday, May 17th 2009, Tresor (Ne Me Regrette Rien du Fauve Beaute) has become Best Male Pup of the NVBH Clubmatch 2009 (Champion Clubmatch organised by the Dutch Association of Belgian Shepherds). Only seven months old, Tresor was judged 'Very promissing, Best Male Pup! Of course we are very satisfied by this result but, next to being a 'good-looking'dog, Hans & Yvonne are still very pleased with the caracter and the will to please of Tresor. And that is and always will be the most important aspect to us. Also important to mention is that Hans & Yvonne develop Tresor well and that is a condition to obtain good results in outcome and behaviour.
I enjoyed this day very much. Thea was not there, because she had to judge a Flyball game and I (Sacha) was sent over to have our Faya (former Chaya) judged. Faya is still very much a pup and needs to develop a little bit more. She was correctly judged with 'Promising'. During the day I spoke to many people I had not seen in years. So overall it was a nice and succesful happening.
* Hakuna (Belle van 't Sparrebos) has been succesfully mated with Amon (Grimmendans Amon) this weekend. If everything goes well, we expect to have puppies in the second week of July 2009.
X
* Yes! Hakuna is in heat. Hopefully we are able to have her mated by Grimmendans Amon by coming wednesday (29 April). We keep you informed!
